ASHP Accepting Applications for Executive Residency


ASHP today announced that it is accepting applications for the 2017 ASHP Executive Residency in Association Leadership and Management. Created for pharmacy college graduates who are interested in a career in association management, the paid 12-month residency program provides one resident with hands-on training under the guidance of ASHP executives in all facets of not-for-profit association leadership and management. The ASHP Executive Residency was created in 1968. Since its creation, graduates of the program have gone on to serve in leadership roles in associations, government, for-profit corporations, academia, philanthropy, and various other sectors. “For nearly 50 years, the ASHP Executive Residency has been a crown jewel in training future pharmacist leaders and association executives,” said Kasey K. Thompson, Pharm.D., M.S., M.B.A., ASHP’s Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President, Office of Policy, Planning and Communications. “The residency is a wonderful and unique opportunity for individuals aspiring to become association leaders,” Thompson added.
