ASHP’s Midyear Clinical Meeting Wins Multiple Trade Show Accolades

ASHP recently received three accolades honoring its annual Midyear Clinical Meeting and Exhibition. Trade Show Executive (TSE) awarded ASHP’s Midyear Clinical Meeting its coveted distinction of Trade Show Executive Fastest 50 Award, ranking the meeting among the 50 fastest-growing shows by growth of exhibit programs. TSE also honored the meeting by naming it a Fast Tracker, listing it among the so-called Next 50, an honor based on a meeting’s growth by total attendance. In addition, the Trade Show News Network (TSNN) listed the Midyear Clinical Meeting on its 2015 Top 250 Trade Shows List, ranking it at No. 172. TSE’s Trade Show Executive Fastest 50 Award is based on the growth of a meeting’s exhibit program and is measured by the number of exhibitor booths. The number of exhibitor booths at ASHP’s Midyear Clinical Meeting and Exhibition grew 13 percent over the previous year. By comparison, the growth for the industry overall averaged 2.0 percent for exhibitor booths, 2.6 percent for exhibit space, and 1.3 percent for attendance. TSE will present both the Trade Show Executive Fastest 50 Award and the Next 50 award at its annual meeting in Las Vegas in late May. Based on event information provided to TSNN by show organizers, the 2015 Top 250 Trade Shows List had a record number of submissions this year and represents the top 250 trade shows held last year in the U.S., ranked by net square footage. In its first-ever listing, ASHP’s Midyear Clinical Meeting ranked 172 out of 250, with the Consumer Electronics Show topping the list. “I’d like to congratulate the entire staff of ASHP for these remarkable achievements,” said ASHP CEO Paul W. Abramowitz, Pharm.D., Sc.D. (Hon.), FASHP. “Our Midyear Clinical Meeting first and foremost helps our member pharmacists better serve patients.
