U.S. life expectancy falls, as many kinds of death increase


The death rate from heart disease rose 0.9% past year, according to US mortality data released Thursday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The last time USA life expectancy at birth declined was in 1993 , when it dropped from 75.6 to 75.4, according to World Bank data.
